Splyt Light

an interactive system for DIY light pieces

Splyt allows you to build organic and original lighting pieces using Edison screw light sockets. Use multiple Splyts to create the perfect fixture for your home or work space.

I started working with Jason on Splyt as a casual design chat that snowballed into our first product together, and the first consumer light available from Jason Krugman Studio. We are currently manufacturing and expecting a Spring 2016 release for North America.

Team

In addition to designing and developing the physical product, branding, and business, I also developed a 3D web design tool for creating your own Splyt chandelier. I teamed up with web dev Peter Szerzo to explore WebGL. I focused on the Three.js and 3D design and interaction, and Peter took care of the JS back end and focused on the javascript bells and whistles.
